We Didn’t Do Our Homework

Saturday, December 17th, 2016

Bit off my tongue when I was three, hated the sun and the beach

Really liked the colour pink, tried to swim, I did sink

Got a phone when I was six, rubbed it in just for kicks

Childhood friends did not stay, they all planned to move away

Was a loner for several years, Naelle

Pulled into fandom, left and right, my answers were never right

Jaimie, Shi-Lin, Noelle, Evelyn, Ben, April

Contemplated suicide, realised I couldn’t, don’t know why

We didn’t do our homework

We were way too busy and far too lazy

We didn’t do our homework

No, we didn’t do it, now we’re paying for it

Kindergarten, Kaylee Gunn, Friends Forever, piano starts

Teletubbies, Power Rangers, High School Musical

Boil in my throat, operation, turned really blue right in the face

I start violin, Enid Blyton, brother won Sports Day

Hermione Granger, Dumbledore, Voldemort

Hong Kong best in subjects, Wizards of Waverley Place

Competitions, Nobel, bro goes to USA

Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Rick Riorda, anime

We didn’t do our homework

We were way too busy and far too lazy

We didn’t do our homework

No, we didn’t do it, now we’re paying for it

Harry Potter, Dr Strange, Insidious, Conjuring

Teletubbies, Totally Spies, Totoro, Dora

Wendy Darling, Winnie-the-Pooh, Finding Nemo, Tom and Jerry

School is starting, lots of exams, goodbye Paradise

We didn’t do our homework

We were way too busy and far too lazy

We didn’t do our homework

No, we didn’t do it, now we’re paying for it

No One Lived Happily Ever After

Friday, September 30th, 2016

The girl jumped because of the loud noise. The loud noise was coming from a bear. The bear ate the girl, Her parents were sad, her siblings were sad, her cousins were sad, her friends and neighbours were sad.

AND NO ONE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

EXCEPT THE BEARĀ

I Threw A Ball

Friday, September 23rd, 2016

I threw a ball

At a cat

It was in a call

With a bat

The bat was tall

The cat was red

At the end of it all

They both were wed

Death Is A Friend Of Mine

Friday, September 23rd, 2016

Death is a friend of mine so I hear people say,

But I’ve never met him to this very day,

Although I am curious I shall not quicken the pace,

For I’d like him to meet me willingly face to face.

And now as I lay on this death bed of mine,

I stare at the clock as it ticks away my time,

Anxious to meet this so-called friend,

I fail to notice a figure standing in the dark end.

Now there is something that I failed to mention,

And it is something of crucial information,

When writing about Death I recommend,

Not assuming that it is a Man.

For if you offend Death in any way,

You might not go in the same array,

And do remember even Woman can kill,

As soon as I stop writing with my quill.

There Was A Cat

Friday, September 23rd, 2016

There was a cat,

That wore a hat,

And pounced around catching rats.

One day the cat,

Got really fat,

And laid its tummy on its favourite mat.

The rats were fuming,

And plotting a killing,

So when the cat was sleeping,

Its blood went spilling.

This concludes the story,

Of the cat that was once in glory,

Then suddenly murdered cruelly,

In its own territory.
